As part of the Borough of Somerville’s commitment to residents to reduce the inconvenience of the anticipated closing of the Pathmark Grocery store on Veterans Memorial Drive, we’ve created this Pharmaceutical, Grocery and Transportation Guide together to assist you to with meet your immediate needs until a new supermarket opens atin thatis location. and also, should you wish, during the redevelopment of the west end of Main Street (Landmark Shopping Center). This Guide can also be found on line at www.somervillenj.org

We also we are working with the Somerset County Transportation Department to assist you in reaching various shopping locations. The County of Somerset operates a public bus service known as advise you as to the SCOOT. (Public transportation) bus service and schedule is. The SCOOTis service runs regularly Monday to Friday along Main Street and Union Avenue and has regular stops at A&P in Manville and Pathmark in Hillsborough. It also passes a number of other supermarkets along the route.

For seniors and the disabled, the County offers pick-up from home to a destination and return, including a direct drop off at the ShopRite in Bound Brook; the contact numbers are included in this guide.

At Borough Hall, we maintain New Jersey Transit schedules and Somerset County bus schedules for your convenience. They are also available at www.njtransit.com and http://www.co.somerset.nj.us/scootdash.htm
