The Landmark Center/Somerville Towne Center
The planned rehabilitation this core downtown site will start within the
next few months. Originally developed in the late 1970’s, this
project will create a new and exciting mix of uses to what has become,
over the years, an unattractive and underperforming location for its
tenants (and the Borough). We will see the creation of new retail stores
with apartments above that will create a traditional downtown environment,
new commercial space to the rear of the site that will bring new businesses
into town and through this more customers for existing and new retail
establishments, up to 275 new residential units will also spur economic
growth, plus, the addition of two new parking structures, one for the
residential units, the other for shared use by borough shoppers/visitors
and commercial tenants.
