FoodStock Food Challenge 2023

The Borough of Somerville collected 5,759 pounds of non-perishable food for 3 local food pantries! In addition, a total of $1,400 was donated to the food pantries as part of the FoodStock Food Challenge.
Approximately 13 towns in Somerset County participated in this friendly competition to see which municipality could collect the most food (by weight) and help replenish their local food pantries.
The Borough of Somerville is proud to announce that WE WON this challenge!
Final Totals
A total of 18,958.5 pounds of food was collected and given to Somerset County food pantries, as part of the FoodStock Challenge.
- Somerville - 5,759 pounds (Winner of Group A)
- Montgomery - 5,000 pounds
- Manville - 3,300 pounds (Winner of Group B)
- Watchung - 2,194 pounds
- South Bound Brook - 1,597.9 pounds (Winner of Group C)
- Bernardsville - 432 pounds
- Peapack Gladstone - 346.6 pounds
- Rocky Hill - 329 pounds
