Dear Neighbor,
The members of the Somerville First Aid and Rescue Squad ask for your support by donating to our spring 2012 fundraising campaign. The Squad provides dedicated volunteer emergency medical services, 365 days a year to the residents and businesses of Somerville and Raritan. Without donations from individuals like you, our mission is not possible. We are wholly volunteer, DO NOT BILL for our services, and are 100% supported by donations.
Now in existence for more than 80 years, the Somerville First Aid and Rescue Squad’s mission is to voluntarily render service to the public, to lessen suffering, and to aid in preserving life, to keep members well trained in the principles of first aid, to maintain and operate such equipment as may be necessary, to advance such knowledge as will promote the prevention of injury and suffering, and to answer all calls without bias to race, creed or sex.
We ask that you make a commitment to support our annual appeal with your tax-deductible donation. Your generosity will make a difference in your community by allowing us to continue our volunteer services to you. Your donation allows us to maintain our fleet, purchase medical supplies and equipment, provide scholarships, and provide continuing education to our EMTs.
In 2011 we responded to 2,014 calls; dedicated more than 7,545 hours of our time to be there for YOU.
