5/7/2010 - 2010 Cat License and Rabies Clinic

ATTENTION SOMERVILLE CAT OWNERS

All Somerville cat owners MUST get a new or renewed cat license during the month of June. Licenses can be obtained in-person at Somerville Borough Hall, 25 West End Avenue, or through the mail. A pet license application can be found at www.somervillenj.org under Administration.

The license fee is $11.00 for neutered cats or $14.00 for non-neutered cats. A NEW LICENSE will only be issued with proof of rabies vaccination and neuter (if applicable). RENEWAL of an existing license will only require proof of new rabies vaccination if the current rabies vaccination will expire during the upcoming license year. There will be NO rabies vaccination clinic in Somerville this June. The following free rabies clinics will be held in Bridgewater during May:

Saturday – May 08           

Dogs only 10 AM to 11AM  $  Cats only 11 AM to Noon       

Bradley Gardens Firehouse, 24 Old York Road

Dogs Only 6 PM to 7 PM  $   Cats Only 7 PM to 8 PM

Green Knoll Firehouse, North Bridge Street & Foothill Road

 

All dogs brought to the clinic must be securely leashed and accompanied by an adult.  All cats must be leashed or brought in a secure box or carrier.

If you renew a cat license after June 30 the late fees are $3.00 in July AND an additional $1.00 for each month thereafter. Call 725-2300 ext. 1980 for additional information.
