6/1/2022 - Cat Licenses: Due by June 30

Somerville cat owners must get a new or renewed cat license during the month of June.

Application

  • The application form for NEW licenses is available at www.somervillenj.org/petlicense.
  • If you are renewing your cat’s license, you don't need to complete an application form – your pet’s information is already in the licensing program.

Rabies Vaccination & Neuter

  • A new license will only be issued with proof of rabies vaccination and neuter (if applicable).
  • Renewal of an existing license will require proof of new rabies vaccination, only if the vaccination expired during the previous license year.
  • Email new rabies certificate and proof of neutering (if applicable) to mreh@somervillenj.org, prior to paying online.

License Fee

  • $11 for neutered cats
  • $14 for non-neutered cats

Payment Options

  • Online (renewals only)
  • Mail: Municipal Office - Pet License, 25 West End Avenue, Somerville, NJ 08876
