Establishing 2026 Meeting Procedure
Be it resolved that all 2026 Executive Session meetings will be held at 6 pm, followed, by the regular meetings of the Borough Council of the Borough of Somerville, which will be held at Somerville Civic Center located at 24 Robeson Street, Somerville at 7 pm prevailing time, for executive session and the public portion immediately followed on the following dates in the year 2026, except for the Reorganization Meeting.
January 1 Reorganization Meeting
12 pm, Somerville Middle School
Regular Meetings:
- January 20 (Tuesday)
- February 2 February 17 (Tuesday)
- March 2 March 16
- April 6 April 20
- May 4 May 18
- June 1 June 15
- July 6 July 20
- August 3 August 17
- September 8 (Tuesday) September 21
- October 5 October 19
- November 2 November 16
- December 7 December 21
Be it further resolved that it shall be unlawful for any person to disturb any in person or electronically meeting of the Borough Council or any committee thereof and any person violating the provisions of this rule may be summarily dismissed electronically or ejected from the Council Chambers and by order of the Mayor or majority; also if a regular, special or other official meeting of the Council shall, because of the press of business run beyond 12:00 midnight into another day, such a meeting shall be considered for all official and legal purposes as being held on the day the meeting was officially called to order by the Mayor and then roll call taken by the Municipal Clerk.
