Notice to bidders Borough of Somerville Solid waste collection
Public notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by Somerville, New Jersey for the collection and disposal of solid waste for the Borough of Somerville. Bids will be opened and read in public on March 11, 2026 at 10 am prevailing time at Borough Hall, Executive Conference Room top floor, 25 West End Avenue, Somerville, New Jersey 08876.
Uniform Bid Specifications and customized forms for the proposed work have been filed in the Office of the Municipal Clerk of the Borough of Somerville can be obtained at the same address as above during regular business hours 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the specifications by the Office of Municipal Clerk upon providing a business card and/or contact information. If the contract documents are to be delivered, the vendor shall provide account information for the delivery of materials.
Bids must be on standard proposal forms in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications; must be received no later than March 11, 2026, by 10 am. Bid responses shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and labelled on the outside as identified in the bid specifications. All bid specification packages must be accompanied by documents as identified in the bid specifications and a bid guarantee for not less than (10) percent of the highest bid, but not in excess of $20,000 and must be delivered at the place and by the time designated.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq.
The Borough of Somerville assumes no responsibility for bids submitted through the US Post Office and any mail or delivery service.
The Borough has the right to evaluate the proposals up to sixty (60) days before announcing their decision and the right to reject any and all bids and proposals, in whole or in part, or to make awards to such bidder or bidders, who in the judgement of the Borough, has the most advantages bid, and to waive such formalities as may be permitted by law.
