How do I register for a recreation program?

Recreation activities are offered year-round. To register for a recreation program, visit https://register.communitypass.net/somerville. You may also register by mail. To register in person, please call (908) 704-6985 to schedule an appointment.

What activities are available for children?

The Somerville Recreation Department offers activities year-round for children of all ages. Fall activities Winter activities Spring activities Summer activites These community organizations also offer programs for kids in Somerville. Junior Pioneers Wrestling Club Somerville Baseball Inc. (baseball and softball) Somerville Branchburg United (football and cheerleading)

Where can I play pickleball?

We have 3 pickleball courts open for public use. They are first come, first serve, and cannot be reserved for private or commercial use. Location: Henry P. Vander Veer Memorial Park (122 Veterans Memorial Drive East) Hours: Open daily, until 10 pm (lights turn off automatically) Learn more about the pickleball courts. 

Can I get married at Borough Hall?

The mayor will perform marriage and civil union ceremonies at Borough Hall. To check availability, please email Mayor Brian Gallagher at BGallagher@SomervilleNJ.org The fee is $285 You may pay with cash or a check made out to the Borough of Somerville  

Are the spray parks open to the public?

How do I report a rat infestation?

If you see a rodent infestation at a property or business, please contact the Somerset County Health Department at HealthDept@co.somerset.nj.us or call 908-231-7155.
