We’re looking forward to a busy holiday weekend in Downtown Somerville! Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming events, parking restrictions and road closures.
Thursday, May 23
Legal RunAround 5K (7 pm)
Kickoff the holiday weekend with this twilight 5K through downtown Somerville! Expect temporary rolling road closures along the race course, starting on E. High St, between N. Bridge St and Grove St.
Friday, May 24
Cruise Nights (6 to 9 pm)
Check out classic and vintage cars parked along Main Street.
Saturday, May 25
Summer Stage (6 to 9 pm)
Enjoy an outdoor concert on Division Street!
Sunday, May 26
Rolling Thunder (approximately 12 pm)
Welcome the 350+ veterans who will pass through Somerville on motorcycles, SUVs, trailers and cars. The Nationwide Ride for Freedom will leave Raritan Valley Community College at noon and take about 1 hour to pass through Somerville, from Route 22 to Mountain Ave to West End Ave. They will proceed down W. Main St to Finderne Ave.
Monday, May 27
- All borough offices are closed in observance of the holiday
- Garbage pickup is suspended and will resume with extra pickup on Tuesday
- 12 am (midnight): No parking and road closures in effect until 8 pm for Tour of Somerville
- 8 am: The Family Fun Ride is your chance to ride on the Famous Tour of Somerville course
- 8:15 am: Salute a veteran at the Memorial Day Parade
- 9:25 am: Plan ahead for road closures and traffic restrictions for the Tour of Somerville
