On Saturday, September 28, 2019 the Somerville, New Jersey community will come together in support of the historic downtown Somerville Volunteer Rescue Squad for the 3rd Annual Somerville Challenge 5k Obstacle Run. Registration for the family-friendly fundraising event is now open for team and solo participants.
Since 2017, the annual Somerville Challenge 5k Obstacle Run has raised more than $6,500 in support of the volunteer Somerville Rescue Squad. Sponsored by the fitness experts at bodhi by Anthony Monetti, the 3rd Annual Somerville Challenge 5k Obstacle Run will be held at Firehouse Field on Veterans Memorial Dr E. on Saturday, September 28, 2019, rain or shine.
The event features the “Run the Ville” experience, a challenging 5K obstacle course designed by fitness experts for families, teams and individual participants. Racers will tour downtown Somerville’s beautiful Peters Brook Greenway and tackle carrying, crawling, balancing, and memory challenges along the 5K racecourse.

Early bird registration prices are now available for $35. All race participants receive free entry into the 7th Annual Original Downtown Somerville Octoberfest presented by Tapastre and Project PUB on Sept. 28.
