The Borough Council introduced an ordinance on March 18 that will extend the area where no parking or standing is allowed on Mountain Avenue, at the W. Cliff Street and Altamont Place intersection. The public hearing will be held at 7 pm, Monday, May 6, at the Somerville Civic Center (24 Robeson Street). The meeting is open to the public and this ordinance will be open for public comment.

AMENDING CHAPTER 166 SCHEDULE III ENTITLED NO STOPPING OR STANDING EXTENDING THE AREA ON MOUNTAIN AVENUE BETWEEN W. CLIFF STREET AND MOUNTAIN AVENUE
Be it ordained and enacted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Somerville that Chapter 166 Schedule III shall be amended to extend the no parking or standing area on Mountain Avenue as designated as follows:
166-44 Schedule III: No Stopping or Standing.
In accordance with the provisions of 166-8, no person shall stop or stand a vehicle between the times specified upon any of the following described streets or parts of streets:
