2023 Schedule
- Location: Henry P. Vander Veer Memorial Park
- Dates: Sept 11, Sept 18, Oct 2, Oct 9 and Oct 16 (Mondays)
- Times
- 4 to 4:55 pm: Grades K to 2 (max 12 students)
- 5 to 5:55 pm: Grades 3 to 4 (max 12 students)
- 6 to 6:55 pm: Grades 5 - 6 (max 6 students)
About the fall tennis professional
Tennis Pro Mike Watson and his staff are the most distinguished coaches in the area and have been coaching tennis for over 25 years. Watson is director of one of the largest tennis training programs in Central New Jersey, with 600 students. The United States Tennis Association (USTA) sanctioned the Watson Classic biannual tournament in his name, after countless students went on to distinguished playing careers at the collegiate level. The USTA also named Watson the 2002-2003 Coach of the Year for the middle states.
2023 Registration
- Cost: $90 (5-week session; non-refundable)
- Deadline: Registrations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis

- Register by mail: Send a registration form and check (payable to Somerville Recreation) to 25 West End Avenue, Somerville, NJ 08876.
- Note: We reserve the right to limit registrations and, if necessary, cancel, alter and/or supplement programs. In the event a class is cancelled due to weather, or reasons beyond our control, all efforts will be made to reschedule the class. Refunds will not be issued if we're unable to reschedule a class.
