Winter basketball clinic

This 6-week clinic is perfect for beginners in grades 1 and 2. Kids will learn the fundamentals of basketball in a fun, safe environment.

About the program

Led by experienced instructors from Drills, Skills & Thrills (DST) Basketball, LLC, this clinic emphasizes skill development through games, drills, and friendly competitions. Lowered baskets are used to help players build confidence and improve their technique.

Participants will work on:

• Dribbling
• Ball handling
• Offensive and defensive skills

2026 Schedule

• Dates: Fridays, January 9 to February 20 (no clinic on February 13)
• Time: 6 to 7 pm
• Location: Van Derveer Elementary Gym (51 Union Ave.)

Registration

• Deadline: December 30, 2025
• Fee: $95 (includes t-shirt)
• Eligibility: Participants must live in or attend school in Somerville
• Note: Space is limited and early registration is recommended.
