There are 4 main types of fire safety permits required for many common activities.

- Effective January 1, 2025, fees vary from $100 (type 1) to $700 (type 4)
- If you don't get a permit, you may be subject to fines.
Before you start
You need a fire safety permit for many common activities, such as:
- Commercial kitchens
- Bonfires
- Cooking at a public event
- Welding
- Storing large amounts of flammable materials

Steps

- Submit the application.
- Payment is due at time of inspection.
